Company to make special donation of $1,000 to Veterans on the Lake Resort “2023 Northwoods Kids Fishing Derby” to celebrate award

Ely, Minn., April 14, 2023 – Twin Metals Minnesota was honored to be selected as a 2023 recipient of the “Good Neighbor Business Award” from the Ely Chamber of Commerce this week.

According to the Chamber, the award recognizes businesses that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to going above and beyond in fostering an environment of community improvement and support.

“I nominated Twin Metals for the Good Neighbor Business Award due to their consistent dedication to the Ely area over the years,” said Anne Lincicome Johnson of Ely. “In addition to the generous financial contributions to local organizations, the Twin Metals employees themselves have shown up to give much of their time in support to those needing help in the community. Twin Metals is a great asset and good neighbor!”

To celebrate the award, Twin Metals will make a special donation of $1,000 to the Veterans on the Lake Resort for their Northwoods Kids Fishing Derby event. Veterans on the Lake is a non-profit recreational facility that serves the needs of disabled and able-bodied veterans, active-duty military members and their families and friends.

Twin Metals has invested more than $650,000 to date in charitable contributions to the communities of northeast Minnesota.
