Vice President, Legal Affairs

In my role as Vice President of Legal Affairs, I work to ensure Twin Metals operates in compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical, and environmental standards. I am personally driven by bringing my values that center around respect, diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work at Twin Metals. I am incredibly grateful to be part of a team that is committed to developing a responsible, environmentally sound mining project that will be transformational for northeast Minnesota.

Prior to joining the Twin Metals team, I worked in a variety of roles in the energy sector and in the world of regulatory affairs for more than two decades. One of my proudest accomplishments was serving as the lead attorney for an indigenous relations team that fostered meaningful relationships that paved the way for groundbreaking agreements with local indigenous communities and Tribal Nations.

I was born in Shiraz, Iran, and emigrated to the United States in 1979 at the start of the Iranian Revolution. I grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and my career has taken me throughout the Midwest before landing me and my family in Duluth. We enjoy travelling and adventuring all together to explore new destinations, embrace diverse cultures, and stay physically active.
